Afternoon Tea at Ting Shangri-La The Shard London with skyline views

Seated on the 35th level of The Shard, Ting at the Shangri-La London offers a sensational view that only gets better as the sun sets.

With sweeping panoramas of the city skyline, this is one of the most dramatic settings for Afternoon Tea in London. The Ting is a sanctuary above the bustle of the city, with a view from Tower Bridge to St Paul’s.

The Clouds of Pink Afternoon Tea was a limited edition menu supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Executive Pastry Chef Piero Sottile curated a selection that was as visually striking as it was delicious.

We begin with the Very Berry Tea with soft peach notes to cleanse the palate.

The finger sandwiches are neatly prepared and served on pink beetroot-infused bread. The coronation chicken with caramelised onion is rich and aromatic without being heavy, while the smoked salmon with dill crème fraîche and lime zest brings a bright, refreshing contrast. The roast dry-aged beef with horseradish and watercress is a classic done well, and the truffle egg sandwich adds an indulgent flourish. Savouries include a delicate beetroot bite and a goat’s cheese smoked duck bun, balanced with a blackberry vinaigrette.

The pastries are also pink, including the Velvet Ribbon, Blush Praline and Rose Embrace. Featuring luxurious ingredients such as Valrhona chocolate, spiced sponge, pear, walnut praline, chestnut and cassis. The result is a collection of desserts that feel indulgent yet sophisticated.

Warm pink scones complete the experience, served with clotted cream and cranberry jam.

Service is polished yet personable, with staff happy to guide guests through the menu. Combined with the ambience and breathtaking views, it is easy to see why Ting is considered one of the top destinations for Afternoon Tea in London.

If you missed Clouds of Pink, Ting now offers its festive Seasons of Wonder Afternoon Tea until 6 January 2026. Expect seasonal flavours, delicate sandwiches and handcrafted pastries inspired by winter, all served with skyline views. Prices start at £89 per person or £99 with Champagne.
