The warm savoury bites set the tone beautifully — the jamón croquettes are perfectly crisp, with a delicate crunch that gives way to a rich, savoury filling, complemented by a tangy maple mustard and smooth aioli. The homemade turkey sausage rolls are bursting with hearty, festive, cranberry gel indulgence. While the tomato tart offers a vibrant blend of ingredients, its pastry could have been a touch more delicate.
The sandwiches are a standout: the roasted turkey with sage and cranberry relish is a festive classic, while the poached king prawn with sudachi and pickled ginger is fresh and elegant. The free-range spiced egg on brioche delivers a bold saffron kick, and the compressed cucumber on rye, with its creamy mascarpone and refreshing yuzu, is a unique twist on a high tea staple.
