Experience a seasonal High Tea at Lenzerheide Restaurant in Adelaide.
Established in 1989, the Lenzerheide Restaurant at Hawthorn, oozes classic elegance and fine dining with a Swiss European menu. The historic building was once a medical centre founded by Dr Arthur Henry Gault. In the 1890s he practised from his home “Ardmeen”. The building, nestled amongst the garden outside and in. In the middle of the dining room is a full-sized stunning atrium full of plants.
High Tea at the Lenzerheide is seasonal. Currently on offer is the Christmas High Tea. When we dined, we had the Spring High Tea. The items on the seasonal High Tea are created and made in house, fresh daily. The menu is classic with great flavour combinations.
The savoury stand out for me is the Mushroom Arancini. It is one of those dishes I never cook, so it is always a delight when Arancini is on the menu. They were crispy on the outside and flavoursome on the inside.
The passionfruit cream meringue melted in your mouth with an almost sky-high tower of soft and creamy passionfruit filling!
The tea is from local company T bar. They have an extensive range of great flavours. The tea selection on the Lenzerheide High Tea menu ranged from Jasmine Dragon Eyes to Chocolate to Quince Sencha.
Overall, the Lenzerheide ‘Spring’ High Tea was delightful. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was excellent.
