This high tea runs daily from 12–3pm until the end of September and offers a curated taste of France in the heart of Melbourne’s city.

At $75 per person (including free-flowing tea or coffee), we felt this high tea was decent value – especially considering its proximity to Melbourne’s theatre district. Located just steps from Her Majesty’s and the Comedy Theatre, it’s an ideal pre-show indulgence for a matinee.

The menu is diverse, beginning with a generous selection of petit sandwiches. The standout for me was the ham with pommery mustard, while the rabbit and quail terrine in a mini brioche bun added a rustic French touch.
But it was the scone that truly won me over, light, warm, with a delicate crunch and served with all the right accompaniments. Full marks here.
