Experience The Westin Melbourne's Summer High Tea spotlighting succulent mango flavours in sweet and savoury delicacies.
In the heart of Melbourne’s theatre district (and high end shopping) is The Westin Hotel. A luxury hotel High Tea comes with attentive service, and the Westin Melbourne ticks all the boxes. Added to that, The Westin serves high teas every day of the week, so any day can be a special occasion!
Executive Chef Apoorva Kunte and the talented team have created the Summer High Tea menu that captures the essence of summer, featuring an array of picture-perfect treats that showcase the versatility of mango in both sweet and savoury creations.
High Tea is served in the Westin’s Lobby Lounge, so not only can you indulge in the free flowing tea and coffee selection that comes as part of the package, but the Lobby bar also has an extensive drinks menu. We chose to add Chandon Rosé sparkling to our order – which was a perfect touch of summer.
From the lobster and prawn roll to the mango, white rum, and coconut pannacotta, each offering on the menu is a testament to the skill and creativity of the culinary team. And let’s not forget the delightful selection of scones, served with cream and berry conserve.
The team at the Westin are wonderful hosts, if you have any dietary requirements they will go out of their way to accommodate (but best to call ahead if you have allergies that need to be specially catered for).
The Westin Melbourne Summer High Tea is available until the 1st of March 2024, a new Seasonal High Tea menu will launch on the 2nd of March 2024.
Summer High Tea menu:
SAVOURY
- Salad of summer tomato, green mango, peanuts, plant based feta, chili tamarind dressing (VG, GF, CN)
- Maple roasted butternut squash, sage spiced goat cheese pithivier (CD)
- Lobster and prawn roll, slaw, sunrise lime, and coriander
- Harissa scented chicken finger sandwich, mango leather (H)
SWEET
- Candied walnut, mango, and salted caramel tart (CD, CN)
- Mango, sudachi, charcoal opera (CD)
- Mango, white rum and coconut pannacotta, lavender meringue (CD, GF)
- Mango entremet, white chocolate, lychee and mint jelly (CD, CN)
SCONES
- Candied mango and dark chocolate scone, plum sugar (CD)
- Vanilla scone (CD) Served with whipped cream and berry conserve
High Tea is served with free-flowing Vittoria coffee blends, loose leaf Jing Tea and hot chocolate. Add-ons include a Glass of Chandon Brut or Rosé and Free-Flowing Chandon Brut or Rosé.
