Apartment 26 / 321 Chapel St. is an opulent Parisian salon in the heart of Melbourne’s design and fashion precinct.
France and its riches await at the opulent Parisian Salon, which is opening its doors for l’heure du thé—an extremely extravagant high tea.
There will be savoury sandwiches, homemade quiche as well as delectable desserts and Parisian pastries. Tea and coffee will be served too but to take this tea to the next level and to equal the French antiques that adorn the room, you will also be treated to free-flowing Blanc de Blancs Champagne.
It’s special and if you’re into your bubbles, you won’t want to miss out.
The lavishly decorated Apartment 26 takes its inspiration from the Palace of Versailles and is fabulously furnished by Anton Venoir’s collection of stunning French antiques. Dating from the 17th-19th Century, the classic pieces emanate a timeless elegance and under candlelight will enchant the room and have you feeling as if you have packed your bags and flown halfway across the world to the City of Light.
The two-hour extravagant high tea with bottomless Blanc de Blancs takes place on select Saturdays and Sundays with seatings at 11am and 2:30pm. The gathering will be an intimate affair and will allow those in attendance the time and space to admire the splendidly decorated salon.
There is nothing that will prepare you for the experience behind the standard-issued industrial door, marked “26”. Behind it lies the world of Anton Venoir Interiors. A private salon, where guests are invited to enjoy the elegance and luxury of the latest acquisitions and collections.
The effect of perfect pieces, which have been lost in time, arranged by Tony & Stella Venios is breathtaking. An early Louis XV period commode by Francoise Faizelot, Jean-Louis Faizelot DELORME from a French Chateau in the Loire Valley.
